I had a VERY productive day today! Good Job Sara!!! Why thank you Sara! :) I woke up early and went to campus ON MY DAY WITH NO LECTURES and read a book from the library that I did not have and needed for my Political Utopias class. After that I went downtown to look for the same thrift store that I couldn't find the other day and got it on the first try! It was on the block adjacent to the one I circled three times... It was still a little pricey, but not too bad for Norway. I ended up getting three sweaters to prepare myself for the upcoming weather. The store was pretty cool and I guess they are a charity that donates to and helps out people in Africa. There were so many... interesting... hand knitted and crocheted things and racks and racks of homemade ponchos! I feel bad for all the hard work those poor grandmas put in, just to have them all given away :(.
After that I came home and laid out in the sun while doing homework to try and take advantage of this nice weather we have been having, before it goes away for good. Bye-bye sun, it was nice knowing you. After that, I went with Frieda and BOUGHT A GYM MEMBERSHIP!!! :D Yay! I got to swim for almost an hour and it brought back so many memories from High School... No diving board though... :/ I looked into diving clubs or lessons in Oslo and the only one I could find was booked until January. :( And there are a few pools with diving boards, but they are either really far away or platforms. I guess springboard diving isn't as popular here in Norway. At least I can stay in shape with my gym membership and hit the ground running (bouncing?) when I return!

Friday!!!! This week has just flown by!!! I had my Genetics lecture this morning and then four additional hours of catching up on Genetics reading.... and I am still not done. I am trying to get ahead because... MY FAMILY IS COMING TO VISIT!!! My Mom, Aunt Molly, Grandma, and Grandpa left today and are on their way over to visit me for a while! I am so excited to show them around and explore with them. :D They are staying in Iceland for a few days, but should get here on Monday! I think I am just the excuse they needed to finally come to Norway and chase our family roots.
After Genetics overload, I met up with Zita, Franzi, Fabian, Frieda, and was introduced to Youyou (China) at coffee hour. It is just a thing a group from the University of Oslo puts on every Friday so that people, mainly international students, can socialize and meet new people. And don't worry, I paced myself on the caffeine this time!
After that we went home and at 9, Frieda, Fabian, Zita, and I hung out for a while. At 12:30 a few of us decided to check out the student pub that just opened at the student village close to us, but it closed right when we got there. Oh darn... my bed was calling to me anyways :)
